axslinger ::: Favorites You dumbasses. Helicopters do fine in wind. Each is rated for specific windspeed and wind gust capability. This is a twinstar. It is rated for at least 45 mph gusts and 30-35 sustained wind. I flew as a crew member on one for 4 yrs. Unforunately, this model of helicopter will have an unplanned hydraulic failure. And when they do, you have a split second to use every muscle in your body to control the cyclic, collective & rudder pedals so you don't crash.
