Awesome video. Keep 'em coming. I love his music, and the Blues in general. Son was found in Rochester (my hometown) in the mid-60's by a biographer who was looking for old blues guys. People thought he was dead. He was working for the NY Central RR, and living in the city. Blues great Joe Beard moved here from TN back in the 50's, and moved in next door to none other than Son House.

This guy lived anonymously here in town (Rochester, NY), and worked on the NYC railroad until he was rediscovered in the mid-60's. Ironically, Joe Beard was his neighbor in the 50's and 60's.

I like the one from the 65 sessions with the Harp player on it more personally, cause its 9 minutes of Awesome blues!

I've watched this more times than I care to admit. I'm memorized by this man's voice and playing. His voice and playing just slice right through me. No wonder he influenced so many great blues players. I think this is from the archives collection. Does that sound right? because I really need some Son House in my collection!
