Furthermore my observation for which you so kindly responded to, being that of a DVD rip, was towards how crisp and smooth (even for a YouTube upload) the picture played back (and considering I have never seen this movie off of cable) making the video atleast seem like it was filmed using present day digital film equipment. But, in case you forgot, I'm a moron. ;)

What tends to happen for older movies (Pre-DVD era) when brought to the DVD format; the audio is cleaned up and, sometimes even, digitally enhanced for stereo (as long as the original audio can be salvaged from its original analog) and the picture quality is digitally improved and cleaned up as well.

At the 00:00 marker to the 00:02 time marker, the DVD bar can be seen at the top of the screen. This movie came out in 1988 yet didn't come out on DVD, a digital medium, until 1999.

You are a moron. At the one minute mark when Hanks jumps to the left of the screen he hits both keys and you can hear the sound register it. Also, this was made in 1988, and "digital upgrades" like what you suggest didn't happen. So, once again, in case you forgot, you're a moron
