Description:
On the NATO Bombing of Yugoslavia Noam Chomsky interviewed by Danilo Mandic RTS Online, April 25, 2006 NOAM CHOMSKY, world-renowned linguist, political analyst, philosopher and activist, has been called "arguably the most important intellectual alive" by the New York Times. Recently, in a British magazine poll, he has been voted by a landslide as the top public intellectual in the world today. According to the Arts and Humanities Citation Index, between 1980 and 1992 Chomsky was cited as a source more often than any other living scholar, and remains the eighth most cited scholar ever. A professor at MIT, he is the author of more than 80 books, including The New Military Humanism: Lessons From Kosovo. His most recent book is Failed States: The Abuse of Power and the Assault on Democracy. Danilo Mandic: Professor Noam Chomsky, in your, if I am not mistaken, first TV media appearance for Serbian media, thank you very much for being with us. Noam Chomsky: I am glad to be with you. |

emire25 ::: Favorites Clinton also sent al qaida nuts to Bosnia to stir up trouble and attack Serbia in 1998, this was after the first WTC bombing and several other attacks on American bases abroad by bin Laden! 07-08-30 20:09:04 _____________________________________________________

karman777 ::: Favorites IF you are going to disagree with someone's arguement, that is the very least you can do. 07-08-24 20:40:21 _____________________________________________________
karman777 ::: Favorites carmexworks, I think if you were to read the Nuremburg decisions and then to compare some of the atrocities commited by some of the American presidents, you would have to agree that there is at the very least an arguement for putting some of them on trial. As a North American, I realize far to often that we don't value other human life as equal to our own. In my eyes, a war crime is a war crime, regarless of who committed it and for what reason. 07-08-24 20:37:45 _____________________________________________________
chloroxjello ::: Favorites They should be held accountable to some extent. Invading a soveirgn nation on a false pretense, running our nation broke, exhausting the military, reigniting the cold war, etc. 07-08-24 19:25:19 _____________________________________________________
peggytoo ::: Favorites Karman777 well said. Nobody is always going to agree with anyone. My point to carmex was that in this particular video (which is the topic now) he provides us with who, how and when, which means that it is not ideas he is discussing but facts. If carmex disputes any of what Noam Chomsky is saying then he should provide us with alternative information instead of just saying that Noam is silly. I have paid attention to carmex has had but he didn't really say anything except that Noam is silly. 07-08-24 19:04:31 _____________________________________________________
karman777 ::: Favorites I would also say that I do not agree with everything that Chomsky believes. I also agree that many of his ideas can't be proven to be right or wrong. What I do believe is that regardless of your beliefs on any of the topics he discusses, he seems to always provide the best arguements for his side. He was made me change my opinion on many topics, something that does not happen often. I admire his skills as a researcher and as a gifted public speaker. 07-08-24 13:51:41 _____________________________________________________
peggytoo ::: Favorites Carmexworks Germany wanted to rule others by force and the US is invading under the pretense that it is delivering democracy. End result is the same. 07-08-24 07:01:12 _____________________________________________________
peggytoo ::: Favorites Carmexworks one last reply. You are an idiot. 07-08-24 06:58:17 _____________________________________________________
carmexworks ::: Favorites peggy you are putting words in my mouth. I can see you are not able to follow a line of thought very well read carefully what i say before you reply. thats all 07-08-24 06:45:07 _____________________________________________________ |
